Happy new year to one and all, may this year bring you happiness and lots of music.

so I wont hassle you with resolutions (who makes and even keeps these!?) or fitness tips (again just who!?) or anything else remotely associated with trying to foster a fake belief that just because a new year starts you need to as well! Those things should be on going goals in your life, like puppies, not just for Christmas and the new year.
New Year New Ideas
However I would like to draw your attention to a few things I want to get out there this year. First I am beginning a new series of lessons on CGRocks, with video on Instagram and Youtube, which will deal with small ideas that will allow anyone to make big gains in their practice. The first one will kick off in a few days my all time favourite Villa-Lobos etude – No. 2.
New Way to Learn Guitar Music
I also have a new book coming out this year, well I say book it really is just a manual, on Barrios’ Las Abejas and the CAGED system. Bees CAGED or CAGED Bees, something along those line. It is an approach that is new for classical guitar learning. Basically how to use the system to help you remember guitar pieces that go all over the fretboard and how to analyse them with it too.
